Goals At The Beginning of Nursing Program
Educational goals
At the beginning of the nursing program I planned on graduating from Old Dominion University in May 2020. I wanted to apply to a graduate program right after graduating with my BSN. At first I thought that I would be able to attend a nurse anesthesia graduate program right after graduation and that I would be working as a nurse anesthetist by the year 2024. In addition, I initially was going back and forth between becoming a nurse practitioner or a nurse anesthetist.
Goals At The End of Nursing Program
My current goal is to work as an intensive care nurse for at least three years to gain critical care experience. I still would love to become a nurse anesthetist. I plan on applying for a nurse anesthesia graduate program by the year 2023 and to start working as a nurse anesthetist by the year 2028.
